AI Trials and Truths
Author: Dev Bryan Santiago
This week started very fun with me implementing tow different AI enemy types, both made to enrich and restrict gameplay. For the first AI I took inspiration from a classic enemy in Doctor Who, Weeping Angels, with a funny ₗᵢₜₜₗₑ twist. Then I spent about half the week converting blueprint speak into C++ and failing to implement a plan of attack for an enemy yet to come. After doing that for while I got bored and made a very simple misdirect enemy responsible for making you doubt your senses. Most of the time I had some to maybe a lot of trouble converting things to code. A lot went by easy, some went down document hunting and some are still in blueprint. The way I dealt with this was mostly done by research and being able to rely on my own reasoning. This week made me deal with a lot of debugging which I feel has developed me further and can happily say it was a good week.
